Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the Group D Recruitment 2026 notification (CEN 09/2025) for 22,195 Level-1 posts across multiple railway zones in India.

If you’ve completed 10th or ITI and want a stable government job in Indian Railways, this is one of the biggest recruitment drives of the year.

🎓 Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

  • 10th Pass (Matriculation/SSC)
    OR
  • ITI from recognized institute
    OR
  • National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT

Important:
Candidates awaiting results are not eligible. Diploma or Degree holders cannot claim eligibility in place of ITI.


🎂 Age Limit (As on 01 January 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 33 years (UR/EWS)

Age Relaxation:

  • OBC-NCL: 3 years
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • PwBD: 10–15 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per service rules

Matriculation certificate will be treated as the final proof of age.

🧠 Selection Process

The recruitment involves four stages:

1️⃣ Computer Based Test (CBT)

  • 100 Questions
  • Duration: 90 Minutes
  • Subjects:
    • Mathematics (25)
    • General Science (25)
    • Reasoning (30)
    • General Awareness (20)

Negative marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer.


2️⃣ Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Qualifying

Male Candidates:

  • Carry 35 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes
  • Run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds

Female Candidates:

  • Carry 20 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes
  • Run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds

Failing PET means elimination.


3️⃣ Document Verification (DV)

Original certificates must be produced. Absence leads to cancellation.


4️⃣ Medical Examination

Medical fitness is strictly checked as per Indian Railway Medical Manual standards. No alternative posting is provided if medically unfit.

Candidates must submit valid certificates as per central government format.
